The following functions are offered by the app (charge-free version): – Overview of the current warning situation for Germany down to parish level – Detailed information on the warning situation for selected locations through official warnings including warning trend – configurable warning elements and warning levels – configurable alarm function (push) for on-site warning – switchable on-site warnings against weather events (thunderstorms, snow, smoothness) when tracking via mobile device – Switchable alarm function when the warning situation changes on site – Social media sharing to share information from the WarnWeather app, e.g. via Facebook, Twitter or e-mail – warnings about natural hazards (flood, storm surge, and avalanches) – Video information in special weather conditions – additional capabilities like widget, selection of tones and various others. For a fee, the app can be extended to the full version with the following functions (from version 1.eight): – DWD precipitation radar and lightning data – current satellite images – Information on the thermal sensation and increased UV intensity – predicted train tracks of thunderstorm cells (warning monitor) – Location-specific forecasts and current measurements – Model forecasts for warning events such as storm, continuous or heavy precipitation The extension can be unlocked by an in-app purchase within the fee-safe version (Version 1.eight necessary). Activation applies to all mobile devices with the same google account. Registration of the in-app purchase in the Familienmediathek is unfortunately not possible.
